March of Dimes Chef’s Auction Raises Money for Northeast Wisconsin
Fundraiser expected to draw nearly 800 people
What:March of Dimes 18th Annual Fox Cities Chef's Auction will feature approximately 38 food and beverage tasting booths with some of the finest chefs in the Valley. Nearly 800 guests are expected this year.
When:Monday, March 15, 2010 beginning at 5:15 p.m. with a food and beverage tasting. The evening program and live auction will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Where:Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton, Grand Ballroom.
Why:Proceeds from the Signature Chefs Auction will support national and regional efforts conducted by the March of Dimes. The national and regional effort seeks to reduce the rate of premature births, birth defects, and other serious threats to babies’ health. Funds support research efforts, awareness campaigns, equipment purchases and more. More than half a million babies are born too soon each year and nearly 8,000 of those babies are born in Wisconsin. That is why it is so important for local events like this to support the March of Dimes efforts to help babies be born healthy.
How:The Chef's Auction is an event designed to appeal to the Fox Valley community. Funding is generated through admission fees and the auctions. Tickets are $50 each and available at M & I Bank Appleton Branches, at the door of the event, or by calling the March of Dimes at (800) 780-3463.
