Meet Me At The Gates are making a name for themselves in the underground metal scene by doing something a bit different than the rest of their peers. Instead of hailing from one scene in one small town, these dudes are from all over the place.
The reason they caught my attention is founder and lead guitar player Jason LeBouton caught me at Rock USA 2016 this past year in Oshkosh and mentioned that his band was about to drop some killer tunes and specifically, a professionally laid out video. The video is for the single, "Life In Two" and is from the forth-coming EP of the same name.
LeBouton describes the EP and the song:
"The song/video is the outline for the entire EP. The concept, feel, sound, everything. The idea behind it is that good and evil are always on your shoulders through everything you experience in your life, and how you perceive your situation depends on which side you let through. At the same time, the video, song, and EP is meant to show anyone and everyone going through a hard time that there’s always going to be times uncertainty and troubles in their lives, but no one is alone, and things will always get better so long as you take the initiative to persevere through the darkness and reach the light.

It would be redundant for me to say that I had the pleasure of seeing a slew of amazing bands at Rock USA this past year. However, one of the loudest, catchiest and most grooving bands that I had a chance to catch was He-Nis-Ra out of Green Bay. They were playing one of the side stages this year.
He-Nis-Ra has been around the scene for awhile and have always had an upward trajectory. However, they decided to take their sound and song-writing prowess to the next level when they hooked-up with producer Aaron Zinsmeister from White Raven Audio. The results of this partnership can be heard below in the new video for their single, "Tanked".
"Tanked" was debuted this past Monday at a sold out venue in the De Pere Cinema. Also debuted that evening was the short-film Gags. Gags is the controversial clown that has been seen creeping around Green Bay and causing quit the stir. He also makes a cameo appearance in the video for "Tanked".
