Digging For Windows: The Return of Zack De La Rocha

Unpopular Opinion: I don't like Prophets of Rage.

It isn't that I don't like Rage Against the Machine. I LOVE RAGE.
It isn't that I don't like Cypress Hill. One of the most underrated rap groups I can think of. Plus, I love those videos of B-Real smoking weed with different rockstars.
It isn't that I don't like Public Enemy. If you don't like Public Enemy, you have no taste. You do not understand the importantance that band has had on pop-culture. Period.

I was hoping for a TRUE Rage Against the Machine reunion.

My argument is also this: Tom Morello is an amazing guitarist. There is no doubt about that. He has pioneered distortions that other guitar players can only dream of and continues to drop my jaw every time I see him live. Likewise, there aren't any problems with the rhythm section of Tim Commerford and Brad Wilks. Tim Commerford is one of the bass players that influenced me to pick up and play that instrument. They were arguably the funkiest rhythm section taking care of business in the '90's. However, it wasn't those things that made Rage Against The Machine the explosive kick-in-the-teeth that it was. That can be laid at the feet of the bands' charismatic and mysterious leader Zack De La Rocha.

So on that note, I started wondering: Where the hell is Zack De La Rocha?

Well, my question was answered today. Zack has been teasing a solo record for long enough that the rumors became myth. Now, it seems that the myth may just be a little closer to reality. He dropped the killer track "Digging For Windows" earlier today and blew my mind. It's refreshing to hear Zack spitting lyrics that I know could start a riot. In my opinion, this is what we needed. Not Prophets of Rage. No offense, Tom Morello.

Here is the track! OBVIOUS NSFW WARNING!

See? Am I right? Let me know!
