Metallica, Deftones, Megadeth & More Nominated for "Revolver" Music Awards

RevolverMetallica's new album Hardwired...to Self-Destruct won't be released until November 18, but it's already earning award nominations. The latest studio effort from the metal legends is up for Album of the Year at the 2016 Revolver Music Awards.

Joining Hardwired...to Self-Destruct in the Album of the Year category are Deftones' Gore, Megadeth's Dystopia, Volbeat's Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie and Meshuggah's The Violent Sleep of Reason. Additionally, Metallica's single "Hardwired" is nominated for Song of the Year, as are Megadeth's "The Threat Is Real," Ghost's "Square Hammer," Testament's "Brotherhood of the Snake" and Amon Amarth's "Raise Your Horns."

For the Best Live Band award, Ghost will compete against Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Rob Zombie and Hatebreed. Other categories include Best Vocalist, Best Guitarist and Most Dedicated Fans. You can vote for your favorites now via RevolverMag.com.

Dave Mustaine will co-host the 2016 Revolver Music Awards, and Megadeth will perform at the ceremony. Other performers include Zakk Wylde and Lacuna Coil, plus the Fallen Heroes All-Star Jam featuring Ace Frehley, Pop Evil, Butcher Babies and ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Bumblefoot.
