Foo Fighters, The xx, Lorde & more nominated for BBC Music Awards
Foo Fighters, The xx, Lorde and Rag N Bone Man are among the big names nominated for this year's BBC Music Awards. That's the good news: the bad news is that there won't be any actual ceremony for the stars to attend.
As the BBC reports, the show has been scaled back this year, so there are only a few categories, so the winners will be revealed during a TV show airing December 8 called The Year in Music 2017. It will look back on the biggest music stories of the year, as told by the musicians involved with them. The show will feature only one musical performance, by Rag N Bone Man.
Rag N Bone Man and Lorde are both up for BBC Music Artist of the Year, where their competition includes Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamar and superstar British hip-hop artist Stormzy.
Rag N Bone Man's album Human and I See You by The xx are nominated for BBC Music British Album of the Year. Foo Fighters are for BBC Music Live Performance of the Year for their set at the Glastonbury Festival -- their competition includes U2, Depeche Mode and Katy Perry.
