Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz is really excited for "The Last Jedi"
Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz is a big Star Wars fan -- like, a really big Star Wars fan -- and he's very much looking forward to the next movie in the series, The Last Jedi. After watching the trailers many, many times, the bassist has some thoughts and theories about the film.
First, like most of the internet, Wentz is a big fan of the adorable penguin-like porgs. "I'm glad that we're giving this generation their Ewoks with the porg," he tells ABC Radio.
But continuing with the creature theme, Wentz wishes he had more footage of the mysterious ice wolf we saw in the trailer. However, he's been really happy with what he's seen from villains Kylo Ren and Supreme Leader Snoke.
"I really like the scar, I really liked [Kylo's] scar and the way they treated that," Wentz says. "I thought Snoke was great as his humanoid version of himself. It was really interesting to see, cool CGI."
As excited as Wentz is, he's trying not to get too carried away with different theories, since he thinks the trailers probably include "a lot of red herrings."
"I feel that a lot of people that seemed like they were talking to each other in the trailer probably weren't actually talking to each other," Wentz says.
He laughs, "But I don't know."
Along with analyzing trailers like they're the Zapruder film, Wentz is also preparing for the release of Fall Out Boy's new album Mania, due out January 19.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens December 15 from Lucasfilm, which like ABC News, is owned by Disney.
