Radiohead schedules Argentina show during Rock Hall Induction Ceremony
It looks like Radiohead won't be celebrating their potential Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in person. The band has announced a South American tour for next year, including a show in Buenos Aires, Argentina on April 14 -- the same day the 2018 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony takes place in Cleveland.
A rep for Radiohead confirms to Pitchfork that the band won't be attending the ceremony.
Radiohead skipping out on their possible induction isn't too surprising, as the band hasn't been particularly enthusiastic about the honor. "I don't care," guitarist Jonny Greenwood previously told Rolling Stone.
The other nominees for the 2018 Rock Hall class include Rage Against the Machine, Judas Priest, Dire Straits, Nina Simone, Bon Jovi and LL Cool J, among others. The final inductees will be revealed in December.
As for Radiohead's other South American dates, the band will also be playing dates in Chile, Peru, Brazil and Colombia. Visit WasteHeadquarters.com for ticket info.
