Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains tells us that they intend to take some time after they complete this fall's Black Diamond Skye tour with Deftones and Mastodon to assess what they want to do next. "The cycle of creating an album, getting it out and touring to support it is a serious effort, but we had an extra couple of years of just kind of celebrating the music without even thinking of putting a record out. We wanted to do that for ourselves and our fans and also to remember our good friend Layne, who's no longer with us." He adds that they're very happy with the way things have gone and that "hopefully, we'll make another record." |
