Dec. 31, 2012
Well it's official Green Day has canceled their previousally scheduled Green Bay concert at The Resch Center for January 7th. It was announced a few months ago that show would be postponed due to Green Day's lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong heading to rehab for substance abuse. As sad of news as this is, because Green Bay is missing out on what was sure to be a great rock n roll show, according to the band Billie is "getting better everyday." In fact they have begun booking dates all over the world for 2013. They have a European tour already on the books for spring and are booking U.S. dates after that. Green Bay isn't the only show to get cancled though as Madison, Vegas and many other cities were axed. The band released this short statement on the matter:
“We want to thank everyone for hanging in with us for the last few months. We are very excited to hit the road and see all of you again, though we regret having to cancel more shows.” In the meantime they did just release a trilogy of albums to keep you company throughout the winter months.
