Mar. 4, 2010 Revolver TV conducted an interview with HELLYEAH/ex-PANTERA drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott at the February 17 press conference held at the Rainbow Bar & Grill on the world famous Sunset Strip in Los Angeles to announce the nominees for the second annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards.
When asked about the status of the new HELLYEAH album, Vinnie replied, "We're about three-quarters of the way done with the record. It'll be out June 1st. Our tour starts April 24th in Tampa Bay, Florida, and we're taking this thing around the world for two years solid. I'm loving the record, everything that we've done to this point I'm really proud of. It picks up where the last record left off. It's a little more Southern, a little more rock and roll; it's got some very, very metal moments on it, too. It's just a wide variety of all the different kind of influences that all of us grew up on, and I'm really proud of it."
